Mike's Very Easy Grilled Chicken Strips with Sliced Apple Wedgies

    Chicken Strips
  • Skinless Boneless Chicken Breasts or chicken tenders

  • McCormick Grill Mates Mesquite Seasoning (shake-on spice mix)

  • McCormick Grill Mates Lemon Pepper with Herbs Seasoning (shake-on spice mix)

    Apple Wedgies
  • Apples (I like Braeburn or Fuji)

  • Lemon Juice (to keep from apples from turning brown)

  • Water

Cut chicken into 1/4- to 3/8- inch wide strips. Lay the sliced strips out single layer and shake on one or both of the above spices to taste. Flip strips over and repeat. Repeat until all of the Chicken Strips have been seasoned. Refrigerate the seasoned strips for an hour or two or until time to cook. Cook on grill, pan, oven or broiler.

Core and slice apples into wedges. Place apple wedges in a 50/50 mix of water and Lemon Juice, slosh around for 15 to 30 seconds, make sure the Lemon mix gets on the entire apple. Remove wedges and store in refrigerator. Repeat until all the apples have been wedged and dipped.

The apples will keep for 1-3 days without turning brown. The 50/50 mix will have just a trace of lemon on the apples.
